What was the highlight of M2 Hotel Waterside
New hotel; ants in the room and location far from Phayao main strip.
The hotel was new and the breakfast area offered a fantastic view of Lake Phayao.
When I checked in, I found ants crawling in from the balcony into the room, and there weren’t just one or two ants. This seemed to be a perennial problem for the hotel, based on other reviews I have read. The housekeeping staff were quick to spray insecticide and the swarm did not return the next few days during my stay, only a few stragglers were seen from time to time. The location was not within walking distance (40-50mins) from the main Phayao dining and shopping strip.

A comfortable stay with a nice view from the room. A courtesy staff.

The bath room is less maintained. The drainage in the shower is not flow. The toilet tissue should be a roll. Should have more varieties of breakfast such as local food.
